Fentanyl Awareness classes aim to support both local and national efforts to increase understanding of fentanyl, a highly addictive synthetic opioid fueling the overdose crisis.
Participants will learn about the risks of fentanyl, ways to reduce harm, and community resources available for support. As part of the class, attendees are introduced to and provided with Naloxone (Narcan) free of charge. Naloxone is a safe, life-saving medication that can rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose by blocking opioids in the brain and restoring normal breathing.
It only works if opioids are present, and carries no effect if they are not. These sessions empower community members with knowledge, tools, and resources to help save lives and reduce the impact of the overdose epidemic.

All ages, parental discretion. No registration. No cost.
